Our Christmas, in pictures. So Christmas Eve used be be getting together with family. This year was different, but everyone was very happy. Our Eve was spent with the kids friends. Some of the kids friends had parents that had to work that night. Some of them were like us and had never been away from family. I was very thankful that the kids and I could cheer them up. I made cookies, candy, and hot chocolate, and we spent time chatting and laughing on the front porch. I'm so happy that the kids were thrilled to be hosting their friends.
My littlest marshmallow, with a marshmallow. I think he might have consumed his weight in these. Funny guy.
Zoie's favorite part about the night were the rice crispie treats. These are her favorite treat. She is the kid with her face in the bowl when I make these.
Matteo didn't eat much. He was too busy chatting it up with his friends. He did say that the malted chocolate chip cookies were the best cookies ever. At least he paid some attention to me. :)
Zander has a grand time being cute and shy. I think he fakes shy to get the girls to pay attention to him.
Lilly ate all night. lol I can't recall her ever stopping. She just ate, and ate, and ate.
My "class clown," enjoyed keeping every ones attention with his silly jokes. He is loved where ever he goes.
Christmas morning, and Santa came! Santa brought each kid one present and a stocking. The stockings are always a big hit. We usually have a rule that if they wake up before the sun comes up, they are allowed to get their stocking and go back to bed. They can play quietly until the sun comes up and wake us up. This year though, Nicko is at my bedside at 345 saying Santa came. This woke up Xane, who sits straight up, looks at the tree and yells "TOYS!" So no extra sleep this year. lol
Xane had a great time this year. He was really into opening his presents. I'm a little disappointed I forgot to put on his cute jammies though. His favorite toy this year was his My Pal Scout. He is just thrilled his puppy knows his name and favorite things.
Zander. The award for most dramatic acting during opening of presents goes to him. He laughed, yelled and clapped for everything. His favorite toy was the space ship Santa brought for him.
My teen mallow got some teen things this year. Santa brought him cologne in his stocking with the other kids thought was just the strangest thing. He was thrilled though. He loved his scull kandy ear phones, and his favorite thing was still a nerf gun. So I got some kid time left in him yet.
Lilly, was thrilled with all her baby stuff. She got a new baby, diaper bag, stroller and she was just so happy. She is still playing mommy nonstop.
This was the year of Barbie for Zoie. I have a feeling the next five years will be. She just adores them. Her favorite was Barbie and her horse Tawny. I don't think I've heard a peep out of Zoie since Christmas morning, she is too busy playing.
My cheap kid. Man I love this kid. Every year, he is the one that asks Santa for the cheapest present. He does it because it is the thing he wants most too. This year his Santa gift cost a whopping 25 bucks. lol He is having a great time playing with it, but in a small space he has been coming up with unique hiding spots to keep it out of his siblings reach.
I hope everyone had a joyful, peaceful Christmas filled with laughter!
